“No one should follow what he considers to be good for himself, but rather what seems good for another.
Let them put Christ before all else; and may he lead us all to everlasting life.”
– St. Benedict
Abuelos Ministry
Do you have grandchildren but are too young to consider yourself “old”? The Joachim & Ann Abuelos Ministry (JAAM) is for you!
Grandparents support our families in so many ways including picking kids up from school, babysitting, and supporting the faith life in the home. The parish is excited to launch a new ministry meant just for them. The ministry takes its name from Virgin Mary’s parents, Saints Joachim & Ann.
Join other grandparents to share the joys, trials, and blessings of this special stage of life.
Share, reflect, pray, learn, & celebrate together as part of the JAAM Abuelos Ministry!

We are devoted members who help our parish serving as Eucharistic Ministers, Advocates, Music Ministers, Ushers, Lectors, and by providing financial donations.
We meet every Monday at 8:00 PM in McDermott Hall. The first Monday of the month, we have our General Meeting to coordinate our activities and the other Mondays we pray the Rosary or have religious studies.
Our activities bring us closer to know our religion and closer to God’s will. It also rewards us with true happiness when we see the fruits of helping our parish. At the same time, it gives us wisdom in keeping our home and family with peace and love.

Emmaus
In the same manner as the disciples who walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus returned joyfully to Jerusalem to share the good news, the Emmaus Retreat provides a setting for today’s disciples of Jesus to walk the transforming road to Emmaus. In the revelation of word and sacrament, experienced within the context of community of the Catholic Church, contemporary disciples who may once have been despondent or lukewarm in the faith are renewed to follow Christ more faithfully.
Retreats are held twice a year, in English or Spanish, and there is one for men and one for women. Monthly meetings are held the second Monday in English and fourth Monday in Spanish.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus, founded in 1882, had its prime goal of “aiding the widows and families of its deceased members.” Today, they also support the challenged and handicapped; they promote the “Right to Life” campaign, and they support those studying for the priesthood or religious life.
Men’s Club
The Men’s Club commits itself to formation in the faith. Through on-going formation in the faith, they wish to assist all members to know and love God more profoundly. This knowledge and love of God naturally compels the members to actively engage in works of charity in the parish and community.
